Placing more batteries in the temperature and humidity chamber -LIB provides Schneider with the perfect solution

Mar 28, 2024

Schneider is a reputable company in the energy management and automation industry. They provide innovative solutions for homes, buildings, and industrial applications in over 100 countries. Today, many of the electrical equipment we use, and its components, are supplied by Schneider.

In 2023, a Schneider branch from India sent an inquiry to LIB. They're testing batteries which're bigger than conventional size in the market. And because they needed to test three ones simultaneously in a limited chamber, LIB started looking for a solution.

Our original idea was to make a taller and wider workroom, with a wider space between each layer of sample racks, so that it could accommodate three batteries at the same time. However, due to the space constraints of the laboratory site and the overall consideration of temperature uniformity, we suggested a better solution. This is to install three independent studios in a housing, so that each battery can be tested without interference. The client's initial idea was to have three studios with the same controller panel.

However, if you are on the same controller, the test page can display only one of the three tests. If the customer wants different batteries to be tested under different temperature and humidity conditions, one controller obviously cannot meet the requirements of simultaneous monitoring. So LIB came up with the second version of the scheme, three chambers with three independent control systems.
