Test purpose



Used to determine the corrosion resistance of parts, electronic components, metal materials, electrical, electronic and other products and industrial products in sulfur dioxide gas. The severity of the test depends on the type of corrosive gas and the duration of exposure.

 

Project introduction



Sulfur dioxide gas corrosion tests are used to determine the adaptability of products to work and store in atmospheric environments, especially contacts and connectors. The main factors affecting corrosion are temperature and humidity, atmospheric corrosive components and so on. The severity of the test depends on the type of corrosive gas and the duration of exposure. It can simulate various corrosive gases such as SO2 in the atmosphere, and can carry out single or multiple mixed gas corrosion tests to determine the corrosion resistance of electrical and electronic components, equipment, and materials.

 

Test period



Unless otherwise specified, the test cycle shall be preferred among the following cycles: 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 20 cycles, 24h one week before. If an unacceptable degree of corrosion damage has occurred during the test, that is, the appearance or function of the sample has been damaged, the test can be terminated.

 

Sample requirement



If the test sample needs to be tested during the test period, it can be tested within 3h before the end of each cycle. During the performance test, it is allowed to open the test chamber to take and place the test sample. The unpacking time is as short as possible, and the test should be finished 0.5h before heating.
