Dec 28, 2021

Test: Corrosion Inspection Corrosion Inspection

Test standard: PV1210

Scope of Application

The salt spray inspection specification is used for sample inspection of fully painted car bodies, car body sheets, structural components and structural parts with different anti-corrosion coatings and corrosion detection in batch inspections.

●The salt fog test chamber is used to inspect and evaluate the anti-corrosion characteristics and anti-corrosion methods under static load.

Testing method

Principle

The test is a combination of cyclic changes of different climates and/or corrosion loads.

The inspection cycle includes

salt fog test chamber

✔ 4-hour salt spray inspection, according to DIN 50 021-SS,

✔4 hours of storage under standard climate DIN 50 014-23/50-2 (including cooling phase),

✔16 hours of damp and heat storage, the climate is in accordance with DIN 50 017-KK (40 ± 3) ℃;) 100% air humidity.

✔After 5 cycles, it is a static state for 2 days in the standard climate DIN 50 014-23/50-2.

This test method is used to evaluate the corrosion characteristics under static load by salt, humidity and temperature.

✔ During the rotation inspection process, the vehicle body should continue to rotate along the longitudinal axis before each salt spray cycle so that it is in the following positions in sequence: 0°; 45°; 135°; 225° and 315°.
