Various levels of waterproof test content


(1) IPX1
Method name: Vertical dripping test
Test equipment: drip test device and test method thereof
Sample placement: The sample is placed on the rotating sample table at 1r/min according to the normal working position of the sample, and the distance from the top of the sample to the drip port is not more than 200 mm
Test conditions: the dripping water was 1.0+0.5 mm/min; Duration: 10 min

 

(2)IPX2
Method name: Tilt 15 degrees; Drip test
Test equipment: drip test device and test method thereof
Sample placement: make one of the samples in a 15° Angle with the vertical line, the distance between the top of the sample and the drip port is not more than 200 mm, and change the other surface after each test, a total of four times.
Test conditions: the dripping water was 3.0+0.5 mm/min; Duration of the test: 4×2.5 min, 10 min in total.

 

(3) IPX3
Method name: Rain test

a. Swinging pipe water test
Test equipment: pendulum tube spray splashing test
Sample placement: Select the appropriate radius of the pendulum tube, so that the height of the sample table is in the position of the diameter of the pendulum tube, and place the sample on the sample table, so that the distance from the top to the sample spray nozzle is not more than 200 mm, and the sample table does not rotate.
Test conditions: The water flow rate was calculated according to the number of water holes in the pendulum tube, and each hole was 0.07L /min. When watering, swing the tube center point on both sides 60°; Water from the blowhole in the arc is sprayed at the sample. The test sample is placed in the center of the pendulum tube semicircle. The pendulum tube swings 60° on each side of the vertical line, a total of 120°. Each swing (2× 120°;) About 4s.
Test pressure: 400kPa; Test time: continuous drenching 10 min; After 5 min, the sample was rotated 90°

 

b. Sprinkler sprinkler test
Test equipment: hand-held spray splashing test device,
Sample placement: The parallel distance between the top of the test and the nozzle of the hand nozzle is between 300 mm and 500 mm
Test conditions: A baffle with a balancing weight should be installed during the test, and the water flow rate should be 10L/min
Test time: calculated according to the surface area of the shell of the sample to be tested, 1min per square meter (excluding the installation area), at least 5 min.

 

(4) IPX4
Method name: splashing test
a. Pendulum tube splash test
Test equipment and sample placement: Select the appropriate radius of the pendulum tube, so that the height of the sample table is in the position of the pendulum tube diameter, and place the sample on the sample table, so that the distance from the top to the sample spray nozzle is not more than 200 mm, and the sample table does not rotate.
Test conditions: The water flow rate was calculated according to the number of water holes in the pendulum tube, and each hole was 0.07L/min. The water spraying area is 90&deg on each side of the middle point of the pendulum tube. Water from the blowhole in the arc is sprayed at the sample. The test sample is placed in the center of the pendulum tube semicircle. The pendulum tube swings 180° on each side of the vertical line; a total of about 360°. Each swing (2× 360°) About 12s.
Test duration: same as paragraph an of Paragraph (3) IPX3 above (i.e. 10 min).

b. Sprinkler splash test
Test equipment: hand-held spray splashing test device,
Sample placement: The baffle mounted with a balancing weight on the equipment should be removed so that the parallel distance between the top of the test and the nozzle of the handheld nozzle is between 300 mm and 500 mm.
Test conditions: A baffle with a balancing weight should be installed during the test, and the water flow rate should be 10L/min.
Test time: calculated according to the surface area of the shell of the sample to be tested, 1 min per square meter (excluding the installation area) at least 5 min.
