What is acid salt spray test
Acid salt spray test (ass) is to spray the solution containing (5 ⁄ 0.5)% sodium chloride through the spray device in a specific test chamber, adjust the spray pressure and ph value, so that the brine collection rate is 1.5±0.5ml/h and the ph value of the collection solution is 3.1~3.3, place the test piece, and let the salt spray settle on the test piece to be tested. The corrosion state of the surface was observed after a certain time.
Purpose of acid salt spray test
Metal materials in the outdoor exposure to acid rain and salt pollution in the two climates, will be affected by accelerated corrosion, product testing is also to simulate and accelerate this environment on the corrosion of metal materials.
Scope of application
Suitable for copper + nickel + chromium or nickel + chromium decorative coating, also suitable for aluminum anodized film.
Method of acid salt spray test
1. The sample is exposed to acid salt spray, dry conditions and wet conditions
2. Method A: The total test time of one cycle is 8h, including acid salt spray 2h, dry condition 4h, wet condition 2h.
3. Method B: The total test time of a single cycle was 8h, including acid salt spray 1h, dry condition 4h, wet condition 3h.
4. Note: It is best not to interrupt the test process and maintain continuity.
The difference between neutral salt spray test and acid salt spray test
1. Different temperatures in the test
Neutral test: a. laboratory: 35℃±1℃, b. saturated air barrel: 47℃±1℃
Acid test: a. laboratory: 50℃±1℃, b. saturated air barrel: 63℃±1℃
2. The finished material is different
The former full box material as long as the traditional PVC reinforced rigid plastic board can be, the latter requires an upgraded version of PP sheet material. Because PP plate is more resistant to high temperature and strong acid test than PVC plate.
