Classification of salt fog test chamber

Neutral salt spray test chamber (NSS test) is the earliest emergence of the most widely used in the field of accelerated corrosion test method. Salt spray test chamber is the use of salt spray environmental conditions to assess the product or metal material corrosion resistance of an environmental test method. It uses 5% sodium chloride brine solution, the solution PH value adjusted in the neutral range (6 ~ 7) as a spray with the solution. Test temperature are taken 35 ℃, the required settlement rate of salt spray between 1 ~ 2ml / 80cm2.h.

 

Acetate fog test chamber (ASS test) is developed on the basis of the neutral salt spray test chamber. It is in 5% sodium chloride solution with some glacial acetic acid, so that the solution PH value down to about 3, the solution becomes acidic, high and low temperature box finally formed salt spray also from neutral salt spray into acidic. Its corrosion rate is about 3 times faster than the NSS test.

 

Copper salt accelerated acetate fog test chamber (CASS test) is a newly developed rapid salt spray corrosion test, the test temperature of 50 ℃, the salt solution with a small amount of copper salt - copper chloride, strongly induced corrosion. Its corrosion rate is about 8 times that of the NSS test. Salt spray test chamber is generally divided into two categories: a class of natural environmental exposure test, high and low temperature box another class of artificially accelerated simulation of salt spray environment test.

 

What is the work flow of salt fog test chamber

 

1. Preparation of brine solution: First, the brine solution is fully stirred so that the salt is fully dissolved, and then heated to a certain temperature so that the brine solution can reach the required concentration.

 

2. Heater: The brine solution is heated through the heater and forms fog.

 

3. Spray system: The spray system will spray the heated brine solution onto the surface of the sample to be tested.

 

4. Sample: The sample to be tested is sprayed with brine solution and exposed to salt spray environment.

 

Detection system: The corrosion degree of the sample is measured by the detection system to evaluate the corrosion resistance of the sample in the Marine environment.

 

Daily maintenance of salt fog test chamber

 

1, the air compressor of the test chamber should be regularly lubricated;

2, not used for a long time in the case of reboot to do the test, should first check all the electrical system;

3, the occurrence of nozzle dirt clogging, can be disassembled nozzle with alcohol, xylene or 1:1 hydrochloric acid cleaning, or unclogging with ultra-fine steel wire, but must pay attention to prevent damage to the nozzle cavity surface finish and affect the spray efficiency;

4, should regularly check the function of the air adjustment valve;

5, such as long-term non-testing, open the saturator to empty the water, normal use should also be regularly replaced saturator memory water;

6, the test salt solution if not used for more than a week, do not use again, so as not to affect the test;

7, after the test, should make the box clean, try to make the test box in a dry environment;;
