LIB Xenon test chamber can simulate the damage caused by full-spectrum sunlight, temperature, humidity and rain. All models are automatically operated and run. Xenon chambers are easy to operate and install. With a variety of models and options, you can customize your xenon chamber to fit your testing needs. The xenon test chamber uses a xenon arc lamp as a light source to emulate true environmental conditions. The xneon chambers control, monitor and display temperature, humidity and black panel temperature. Easy to
mount the specimen with specially designed specimen holders.
What Does the Xenon Weathering Test Involve?
The xenon weathering test includes presenting materials to a controlled climate that reproduces normal enduring circumstances. A xenon arc lamp is used to accomplish this, which reproduces the entire spectrum of sunlight, including visible light, ultraviolet (UV), and infrared (IR) radiation. In order to speed up the aging of the materials under test, the procedure involves repeatedly changing the amount of light that is exposed to them, the humidity, and the temperature.
Xenon Arc Lamp: The xenon arc lamp, which produces intense light comparable to that of natural sunlight, serves as the core component of the xenon weathering test chamber. This light can imitate different natural circumstances, like full daylight, fractional shade, or complete haziness, contingent upon the test prerequisites.
Sample Preparation and Placement: The chamber is filled with samples of the substances to be tested. Plastics, paints, coatings, textiles, and other materials that are utilized in real-world applications can be included in these samples. The samples are strategically placed to ensure uniform exposure to light and the surrounding environment.
Test Duration and Monitoring: The content and desired outcome both influence the length of the test. Changes in the samples' chemical and physical properties are monitored throughout the test. Color fading, chalking, cracking, and mechanical strength loss are all observed and recorded.
By simulating years of outdoor exposure in a matter of weeks or months, the xenon weathering test provides valuable data on the long-term durability and performance of materials.
