According to the 9 levels of waterproof testing stipulated in IEC60529, waterproof testing equipment also has different levels. The IPX5 water jetting test chamber is a device used to test the resistance of electrical equipment and enclosures to water. It is designed to simulate exposure to water from a 6.3 mm nozzle in all directions with a flow rate of 12.5 liters per minute and water pressure of 100 Kpa at a distance of 2.5-3 meters for 15 minutes.

The chamber consists of a water tank, which is filled up to a certain level, and a spray system that simulates rain or water jets. The water pressure is maintained through a pump connected to the chamber. Electrical equipment is placed in the chamber, and the water is sprayed from all angles to determine if the device can withstand water ingress or damage.

The operation of the IPX5 water jetting test chamber involves placing the equipment inside the test chamber and running the spray system for 15 minutes. The equipment is then inspected for any signs of water ingress or damage. The test is performed in a laboratory, and the result indicates the degree of protection provided by the enclosure. The equipment can be rated from IPX0 to IPX9K based on the degree of protection against water ingress.
