The IP69K test chamber is the necessary equipment for performing IP6X and IPX9K tests. The IP69K rating means a piece of equipment can withstand intensive cleaning with high-pressure, high-temperature jets. IP69K products are ideal for industries where sanitation is a primary concern, such as food processing and pharmaceutical applications.

IPX9K

IP6X
What Is IP69K?
The two digits behind IP indicate the protective strength of the equipment shell against solid foreign objects and water intrusion. The first digit indicates the level of electrical equipment against dust and foreign objects, and the second digit indicates the degree of confinement of the equipment against moisture and water intrusion, and the larger the digit, the higher the protection level.
Sometimes, the level of protection is unknown or hasn’t been tested. In these cases, an ‘X’ replaces the numeral. IPX waterproof rating is divided into a total of 8 levels, respectively from IPX1 to IPX8, the waterproof ability is enhanced in turn. IPX0 indicates that it is not waterproof at all. IPX7 Waterproof means the device has level 7 water sealing, while its protection against dust is unknown.
IP69K is currently the highest rating on the ingress protection (IP) scale. IP69K means a product is completely dustproof and can withstand wash down at pressures of 80 to 100 bar/1,160 to 1,450 PSI, in phases of 14 to 16 l/min, and at temperatures up to 176 °F/80 °C.
IP6X
IP6X dustproof test is suitable for testing the dustproof performance of various products in harsh environments. The main products targeted include but not limited to cell phones, computers, TVs, cameras, automobiles, industrial equipment, etc.
-
Test method:
1. placing the product in the test equipment;
2. using dust particle size of 2 to 5 mm, weight 2 g / m of dry sand, injection time of 8 h;
3. The operating condition of the product during the test should be in accordance with its design requirements.
-
Test requirements:
1. no dust shall be allowed to remain inside the product;
2. The product should be able to operate normally and not be disturbed by the dust.

IP6X test standard is one of the important test standards to ensure the durability and reliability of electronic products, which plays an important role in improving the performance and quality of electronic products.
IPX9K
IPX9K mainly tests the impact of high pressure and high temperature water spray on products, mainly testing waterproof and sealed products, such as automobiles, motorcycles, electronic equipment, LED lamps and other products.
IPX9K is a waterproof rating in the European standard IEC 60529. It refers to the ability of a product to remain completely waterproof under high pressure and high temperature environments. Below are the detailed test methods and test requirements for IPX9K.
Test method:
1. Select a tester that conforms to ISO 20653:2013 (Road vehicles -- Degrees of protection (IP code) -- Protection of electrical equipment against foreign objects, water and access 1. Use a tester that conforms to ISO 20653:2013 (Road vehicles -- Degrees of protection (IP code) -- Protection of electrical equipment against foreign objects, water and access)
2. Place the device under test in the tester and aim the high pressure nozzle at the device, making sure the distance from the nozzle to the device is 100-150 mm.
3. 80 ℃ hot water at a height of 9 m will be sprayed onto the surface of the equipment for 30 seconds.
4. nozzle spraying 12.5 liters of water per second, nozzle adjustable angle, nozzle movement and the distance between the nozzle and the test object must meet the standard requirements.
5. After the test is completed, check whether there is water seepage in the equipment, there should be no water leakage in any position in the equipment. While testing, there shall be no water stains on the outer surface of the equipment's shell.

Test requirements:
1. no maintenance and adjustment shall be performed during the test, and no handling of the equipment shall be performed during the test.
2. during the test, the test equipment should be placed to the natural air flow, and there must not be any conditions that prevent water from reaching the surface of the test equipment.
3. before the test should be allowed to test equipment in regular use conditions heated to a high temperature, and at the end of the test to keep the temperature constant.
4. before the test should confirm whether the equipment is installed with a waterproof device, the test should ensure that the waterproof device is in normal working condition.
5. should check whether there is water seepage in the equipment after the test, and there should be no water seepage in any position.
6. During the test, there should be no water exceeding the maximum water level on the surface and inside the equipment.
7. During the test, any abnormalities generated by the test equipment should be recorded. If water seepage is found in the equipment during the test, the test will be considered a failure.
8. The coding level should be in accordance with international standards when the equipment is subjected to this test.
In summary: IPX9K test refers to high-pressure water spray to prevent water seepage through high temperature and pressure. The test environment equipment is required to be placed in a ventilated place, no water droplets remain, the test requires attention to safety standards to avoid injury.
The main difference between IPX9K and IPX5 or 6 is the level of waterproof pressure that can be withstood. IPX9K is a test device that can withstand up to 100 bars (12.5L/minute) of high temperature and high pressure water jets impacted to simulate strong rain or spraying water, while IPX5 or 6 only needs to withstand lower water pressure impacts, such as IPX5 withstanding 8.3L/minute water jets. Therefore, IPX9K is more waterproof than IPX5 or 6 standard.
