In today's fast-paced coatings industry, accelerating weathering tests without sacrificing accuracy is essential. LIB's Xenon Wetherometer recreates real-world sunlight and weather cycles in days, not years.
Certified to ASTM D6695, G155, ISO 11341, and D7869, Xenon Wetherometer uses a 4500 W/6500 W watercooled xenon lamp with daylight, windowglass, and UV filters. A rotating sample holder ensures uniform exposure, while automated logging via Ethernet delivers fast, reliable, and comparable paint aging results.
【Xenon Wetherometer Strictly Complies with International Paint Weathering Test Standards】
LIB Xenon Wetherometer conduct tests in accordance with globally recognized standards to ensure professional and comparable results:
ASTM D6695 / ISO 11341
These standards specify the spectral characteristics of the xenon arc lamp (300–400 nm), black panel temperature, and the alternating cycle of water spray and darkness.
- Common Protocol ①: 340 nm wavelength band, 0.51 W/m²·nm irradiance, continuous illumination for 102 minutes followed by 18 minutes of water spray.
- Common Protocol ②: 420 nm wavelength band, 1.10 W/m²·nm irradiance, continuous illumination without interruption.
ASTM G155
- Detailed description of the accelerated aging process under the alternating effects of xenon arc lamps and spray devices.
- Includes various combination cycles such as illumination, water spray, darkness, and humidity control.
ISO 11341
- A standard for artificial light aging specifically targeting coatings and varnishes.
- Defines irradiance flux, filter types, and specific requirements for temperature and humidity.
ASTM D7869
- Establishes a specialized protocol for weather resistance testing of coatings under high-temperature, high-humidity conditions (e.g., Florida climate) during transportation.
- Emphasizes the durability performance of coatings under humid and high-temperature conditions.
All of the above standards are fully compatible with the design of the LIB xenon arc lamp test chamber in terms of xenon arc lamp intensity, temperature (black plate temperature), humidity, and cycling methods, ensuring accurate and internationally recognized test results.

True sunlight reproduction
4500W/6500W water-cooled xenon arc lamp + multiple filters, covering the 280–800 nm spectrum:
- Daylight filter: 0.35 W/(m²·nm) at 340 nm, simulating direct outdoor sunlight;
- Window glass filter: 1.10 W/(m²·nm) at 420 nm, simulating light passing through window glass;
- Extended UV filter: 0.55 W/(m²·nm) at 340 nm, enhancing UV band acceleration of photoaging.

Precise temperature and humidity control
Blackboard temperature can be precisely maintained within the range of 35–85°C (±2°C), humidity can be adjusted to 50–98% RH (±5%), and supports alternating dry/wet cycles or spray water cycles to replicate real-world climate changes. The radiometer guarantees the accuracy, stability, and reliability of light intensity testing, ensuring precise measurement of irradiation during xenon lamp testing.
Flexible cycle settings
The intelligent PID touchscreen can pre-set 120 aging programs, each divided into 100 segments of light exposure/water spray/darkness cycles, easily executing standards such as ASTM G155 and ISO 11341.
Uniform sample exposure
The rotating sample holder can hold 42 samples at once, ensuring each surface receives uniform light exposure and water spray during rotation, guaranteeing representative test results.
