LIB IP69K rating test chamber is a device used to test the water resistance of electronic equipment. It is a sealed container that simulates the conditions of a powerful water jet, replicating the effects of heavy rain or high-pressure hose-downs.

The working principle of the IPX6K waterproof tester is based on the IPX6K standard, which denotes that an object can withstand high-pressure water jets from any direction without allowing water to penetrate inside. In order to achieve this, the test box uses a high-pressure water jet apparatus that delivers a spray of water at a pressure of 100 bar and a temperature of 80 °C. The water spray is directed at the test object from various angles and distances, ensuring that every part of the equipment is thoroughly tested. 

The working principle of the IPX9K waterproof test box is simple yet effective. The system uses a high-pressure pump that injects water at a pressure of up to 1160-1450 psi through a nozzle with a diameter of 0.2-0.4 mm. The water is then directed onto the product being tested, simulating the effect of heavy rain or a car driving through a high-pressure car wash.

How is the product usually tested

Products rated to IP69K must be able to withstand high-pressure and steam cleaning.

The test specifies a spray nozzle that is fed with 80 °C water at 80–100 bar (~1160-1450) and a flow rate of 14–16 L/min.

The nozzle is held 10–15 cm from the tested device at angles of 0°, 30°, 60° and 90° for 30 seconds each.

The IP69K test device sits on a turntable that rotates once every 12 seconds.
